Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Farid Arbai ("we", "us"), who makes Lupex. By downloading or using Lupex you accept them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
Apple's Standard EULA
Lupex is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). These terms add to it. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA applies. Apple is not responsible for Lupex or its support; we are.
What Lupex is
Lupex helps you spend less time in apps you find hard to put down. It uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks and, if you turn it on, an on-device Reels detector. It is a self-help tool, not medical or psychological treatment. iOS sets limits on what any app can do, so we can't promise Lupex will catch every session or that it will always be available.
Your account
You need an account to use Lupex. Keep access to your email (or your Apple or Google account) secure, since that's how you sign in. You must be at least 13, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
Subscriptions
Some features need a Lupex subscription. Two auto-renewable subscriptions are offered:

- Prices are in US dollars; Apple shows the equivalent price for your country in the app before you buy, and that's the price you pay.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or, with the free trial, when the trial ends.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- If you cancel during the free trial, you aren't charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Manage or cancel at any time in Settings › Apple ID (your name) › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Deleting the app or your Lupex account doesn't cancel the subscription.
- Apple handles billing and refunds. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
- If we change a price, Apple will tell you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
Using Lupex fairly
Don't misuse Lupex or its sign-in service: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer it, no automated sign-ups, and no using it against someone else's device without their knowledge.
Ours and yours
Lupex, its name, design and content belong to us. What you write in Lupex is yours and stays on your device.
Ending things
You can stop using Lupex and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we ever stop offering Lupex, we'll give reasonable notice in the app.
Our responsibility
We build Lupex with care, but provide it "as is" to the extent the law allows. We aren't liable for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. If you keep using Lupex after that, the new terms apply.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring a claim in your local courts.
