How do I set up the Instagram redirect Shortcut?

A Personal Automation in Apple's Shortcuts app lets Lupex step in the moment Instagram (or TikTok) opens. Lupex walks you through it on first launch; to set it up again:

  1. Open the Shortcuts app and go to the Automation tab.
  2. Tap + (or New Automation), then choose App.
  3. Tap Choose, select Instagram (add TikTok too if you like), and tap Done.
  4. Keep Is Opened ticked, choose Run Immediately, and tap Next.
  5. Tap New Blank Automation, then Add Action, search for Lupex and pick the Lupex action. Tap Done.

Open Instagram once to check: Lupex should appear first. If it doesn't, make sure the automation is switched on and set to Run Immediately.

Why does Lupex need Screen Time permission?

Screen Time access is what lets Lupex shield the apps you pick and see how long you spend in them. Apple processes it on your device, and Lupex only ever sees the apps you choose, see the privacy policy.

If you tapped Don't Allow, open Lupex and start the Screen Time step again; iOS will ask once more. You can check or remove access any time in Settings › Screen Time, under the apps with Screen Time access.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings › Apple ID (your name) › Subscriptions, tap Lupex, then Cancel Subscription. Do it at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel the subscription. For refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I delete my account?

In Lupex, open Settings and tap Delete account, then confirm. Your sign-in account is deleted straight away and everything Lupex kept on your phone is wiped. It can't be undone.

Remember to cancel any subscription separately (see above). Can't get into the app? Email us from the address you signed up with and we'll delete it for you.

I didn't get my sign-in code

It comes from Lupex <login@clockiv.com> within a minute. Check your spam or promotions folder, and that the address you typed is right. A code works for 15 minutes; after three wrong tries, ask for a new one.

How do I stop the Reels detector?

Tap the red screen-broadcast indicator at the top of your screen, or open Control Center and stop the broadcast. You can turn the detector off completely in Lupex's settings.
